Man and Nature

All the pictures above were taken earlier today at La Jolla Cove and Children's Pool. Though the sun did not come out, but it was still a beautiful day. In fact, a very beautiful day, where men and nature celebrate the gifts of life together in a very relaxing harmony.

Have You Heard of Become?

Become....become what? Become the smartest shopper that you can be? :) Would that at all be possible if sometimes we are driven by our impulses?

Anyway, I am not sure if you have heard of Become, an online revolution to shopping. It is a shopping hub where you can search for items, and it gives you various prices from various dealers, so you can compare prices and choose the cheapest/most reliable source. You do not need anymore to go from one online store to the next to search for the best deal, you just can come to one site, Become, and it does the searching for you.

There are some items I do not spend time looking at the stores anymore since they are always expensive at the store. When it is time to buy my new orthotics insole, or new comfortable shoes and sandals, I go online since I already know what size, what type, and what model I need. It saves me always almost half the price from the store.

For those who are looking for cube side table, north star pressure washer, drum shade pendant, try become, and you will find the many listings and choices. Maybe you will be surprised with how much you would be able to save, and you would be encouraged to shop for more :)

Torrey Pines to Del Mar Trail

Me, Looking Out At The Ocean From On Top of the Bluffs
One of the easier and more relaxing trails you can take when you are visiting San Diego is the the trail that connects North Torrey Pines State Beach and Del Mar Beach. The trail is only about 6 miles round trip. However, because there is very little change in elevation, maybe about 200 ft over very gentle slopes, the hike becomes more like a walk, and making the distance feel a lot shorter. Why we love this trail is because this is the place where we see dolphins about 90% of the time we hike here, and the gentler slopes allow us to carry our heavier lenses and gadgets.
You would usually find me in the water when it is still the height of the summer, I guess only being one with the waves can make me leave my camera behind. However, once school starts and the water gets colder, I prefer to pick up my camera again and move my feet on land. Now, one good thing about kicking my feet on land than on water is that I can take pictures of life around.
I can enjoy watching surfers, kayakers getting their special moment with the dolphins. When I am boogie boarding, I occasionally get my special encounter with the dolphin too, and like this surfers, would make me stop from what I am doing too and would wish I can join them. But I also quickly lost them when I am in the water.
Whereas if I am on top of the bluffs, I can follow them :) It's a joy, sometimes, I have to sprint,
sometimes, I simply sit and watch the dolphins when they seem to be taking their time circling around and playing on a particular spot.
Regardless, it is a joy to be simply hiking and sitting on top of the bluffs as much as it was chasing the waves.
Surfers and Dolphin Party
Back to school...back to work...back to hiking, back to photography as well. Only the waves can make me forget my camera, but now, it's time to take pictures of the waves.
Where to Park for this Hike:
1) North Torrey Pines State Beach Parking Lot ( if you are willing to pay $10 entrance fee, however, you can get an annual State Park Pass for $120).
2) along Carmel Valley Road or North Torrey Pines road - free
