Cell Phone Shot of McWay Falls

McWay falls is a short walk in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park in Big Sur, CA. When we were there for the sunset, i realized my camera's battery was drained, and the spare I brought with me sadly was not charged as well. So, most of the time, i took shots with my cell phone. Here is one photo of McWay Fall using my cell phone camera.

"McWay Falls is an 80-foot waterfall located in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. This warerfall flows year round and is one of the three waterfalls we saw and experienced during our last Big Sur thanksgiving trip. The waterfall is close enough to the ocean to be referred to as "tidefalls". McWay
Fall is located on McWay Creek and is one of the few waterfalls that empty directly into the ocean. Although it can be viewed via a trail from above, the beach and scenic cove below is difficult to access by land, however, it could be easily reached by boat."- source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McWay_Falls

Saving Moolah

Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell

Saving money has become a lifestyle for me. I’m really into making sure I’m not overpaying for any one facet of my life and I’ve done everything from go to http://www.electriccompaniesindallas.com/ to check utility companies in my area against each other to selling half my clothes on Ebay (to be fair, I was moving.) I’ve put away about four thousand dollars so far this year and it’s making me feel like a totally responsible adult. There was a time where the second my paycheck hit the bank I would take it to the bar and the gym and the mall – not anymore! I finally grew up and realized if I was ever going to be able to afford my own place I was going to have to be smarter with my money. Now I own my own condo and it’s amazing – it’s all mine to do what I want to with – I can paint it and put up wallpaper and even knock down a wall if I really want to. Who would have thought I’d be the type of person who could make something of myself – if you had known me in high school I don’t think you would have described me that way! I definitely wasn’t voted most likely to succeed, that’s for sure! At the end of the day I’m really proud of the changes I’ve made in my life and I can’t wait to share my success with my friends from back home. My reunion is in a few weeks and I’m going to show up looking more put together and successful than I think any of them have ever seen me and that’s going to feel really good, I just know it. I’m proud of myself but I never could have done it without my family or the dedication I had to my end goal. Here I am, a homeowner with money in the bank and I’m so happy!

H Mart: New Asian Supermarket in Town

On my way home today, I stopped by Mira Mesa, a community in the city of San Diego North of downtown. Mira Mesa is East of La Jolla and West of Scripps Ranch. It is a predominantly Asian community, mostly Filipino and Vietnamese. Because of the Asian population in this region, several huge Asian Supermarket can be found here, such as Seafood City, a Filipino Supermarket and Lucky Seafood, a Vietnamese Supermarket, and a few others that I still have not explored. Last November 17, a new Asian supermarket came to Mira Mesa again, replacing the old American supermarket, Ralphs. This new supermarket is H Mart, a Korean supermarket.

It's All About Me

It is very seldom I get to have a lot of pictures of myself :) However, I guess photo shooting with ourselves in the pictures is part of fun whenever it's just girls together. I can't pose goofing off with my hubby because he thinks the dolphins, the pelicans, and other wildlife are more challenging subjects, haha! In fairness to him, he does take me picture sometimes candid. He is not very comfortable taking pictures when the subject poses for him! Haha!

Hiking Mt. Woodson and Discovering Old Poway Park

Old Poway Park, Poway, San Diego County, CA
We have been living in San Diego for more than 8 years now and had been coming to Lake Poway for some hikes, but today was the first time we set foot on Old Poway Park. We discovered Old Poway Park after our 7.2 miles hike and 2300 ft climb from Lake Poway to Mt. Woodson.

Crowning Glory

The hair is considered as a crowning glory especially for women.  Men and women are actually concern about their hair. Beautiful, bouncy and healthy hair does not only determine the person’s actual health but also enhances an individual’s physical appearance. So if someone encounters problem with his/her hair, it is considered a serious matter that needs immediate attention.

Vegetarian Pizza

Vegetarian pizza with a little bit twist, I used tortilla as pizza dough! :) I actually layered 2 tortillas with cheese in between, so it is like stuffed with cheese pizza crust.

Method of preparation:

Cooked two tortilla in the pan. When tortilla is cooked, put back one tortilla in the pan, add cheese on top, and then, layer another tortilla. Heat until cheese is melted. Take the stuffed tortilla out from pan.

On Blogging, Conferences and Hotel Supplies

I love attending conferences. For fellow bloggers it is easy to understand why. A conference means a chance to learn and to meet new friends in one's profession and a seemingly endless photo opportunity! Staying at hotels and enjoying Hotel Supplies and snapping countless photographs to preserve memories to share is a sign of a true-blooded die hard blogger.

Gainey Vineyard

 Grapes from Gainey Vineyard
Enjoying a Walk at the Vineyard
During the last week of my summer break, I was able to spend a few days with my friend in LA to wander around town and LA's backroads. One of the places we went to was Gainey Vineyard in Santa Ynez Valley. When we got to the vineyard, the winery was already closed since it was past 5 pm, so, instead of walking on the vineyard with a glass of wine, we simply enjoyed our unguided tour of the vineyard. The grapes above may look very green, however, on closer inspection, we were so surprised to see so many grapes hanging in the vines.
